Descendants of the Free named after Kniaz Konstanty Ostrozky

For the third year in a row, Youth Corps co-organizes «The Descendants of the Free» international youth camp named after Kniaz Konstanty Ostrozky, an important figure uniting Ukrainians-Ruthenians and Litvins. September 8 was the anniversary of the 1514 Battle of Orsha when the allied forces of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland, led by Konstanty Ostrozky, defeated the army of the Grand Duchy of Moscow.

This year’s competitions were held in the city of Skadovsk, Kherson region. Children from Ukraine, Lithuania and Moldova took part in the camp. The team of the Cherkasy branch of Youth Corps-Jura, joined the competitions, too.

The purpose of the camp is to create a platform for bringing together the youth from the Intermarium countries.

The project will be presented at the upcoming 3rd conference of the Intermarium Development Assistance Group that will be held in Kyiv on October 13.
